Essential Duties For a Basic Machine Operator (BMO)
Receives and follows directives and instructions from radiologists, diagnostic imaging center manager, and technical director to properly perform the position's functions.
Calculates and selects proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, focal distance, etc., based on information such as patient age, physical condition, and suspected pathology.
Schedules patient examinations according to physician's orders as directed.
Explains proper preparation to patients prior to procedure.
Develops mammography films and related dark room duties, in addition to understanding the CR system and equipment.

Requirements
Basic Machine Operator Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must possess current State of Florida certification as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator to practice medical radiography.
Must have completed the required hours of continuing education certification or annual period, to satisfy State of Florida requirements.
CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Radiographer Job Requirements
Required: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent hospital-based program.
Required: Current ARRT and State of Florida license.
Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience Required: None
Preferred: Radiography experience in an outpatient setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
